Saganworks is being used by educators who are teaching their classes virtually. The result is simple, intuitive, easy-to-build classrooms that are explorable by and shareable with students. To get started in making a Sagan for your class, see the FAQ below:
How do I get my content into Saganworks?
Are your lectures uploaded to YouTube? Do you host your class via Zoom? You can use the Saganworks Chrome Extension to bring your web links into Sagans. Students double-clicking the link within the Sagan will open the web page in a new tab
Or, if your content includes files (i.e. documents or images), those can also easily be added to a Sagan as well: https://saganworks.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040575051-Uploading-files-to-the-Sagan-Drive
What if I have password-protected content?
Adding links to password protected sites still requires login, making this a great option for linking to assignments behind a login or internal sites of an educational institution
What if I have 3D models I want brought into the app?
Currently we do not offer self-serve 3D model importing, however we have a talented art team skilled in translating external models into Saganworks. To find out more on how to do this, check out our Business Solutions and schedule a time with our team by reaching out to email@example.com
Can students turn in assignments using Saganworks?
Some teachers have tasked students with creating rooms as part of a project that they then share back to the teacher. Sagans are only editable to the owners of the Sagan, which does not allow for multi-person editing and collaboration for the same room, but separate individual rooms can be turned in as assignments
How do I share my Sagan with my class?
Right now, there are a couple of ways to do this. Some teachers choose to make their Sagans public to the community, meaning anyone with a Saganworks account can access them. Others choose to share their Sagan directly with the student's email. Both of these options require that students have a free Saganworks account. There is also the option to embed the Sagan on your website, as part of our Business plan
